Is my internet fast enough for your TV services?

You need 25 Mbps of internet download speeds to watch video streaming services offered by IPTVQuest, at least to watch anything in 4K HD or UHD (ultra-high definition) quality.

Lower speeds like 3–18 Mbps work for lower-quality video formats like SD (standard definition) or HD (high definition).

If you have more than one user or device, though, you’ll want more than 20 Mbps, and probably closer to 40 Mbps or more.

Streaming internet speed recommendations for one user:

  • 18–25 Mbps: Ultra HD video (4K, HDR, UHD, etc.)
  • 8–18 Mbps: HD video
  • 1–8 Mbps: SD video

Now that you know the recommendations, go to Speedtest.net or Speedof.me to test your download speed. You can also compare those results to Fast.com, a similar tool that’s powered by Netflix.

If your internet is slower than what you’re paying for, contact your internet provider and see what they can do.

When I called my internet service provider and gave them the results from SpeedTest.net, they sent someone out to my house to troubleshoot my internet problems free of charge.
